W.A.L.T. We are learning about different time zones around the world and how to calculate time differences.
The reason we have different times is because the world is round so the sun isn't in the same place at the same time so some for some people its day others its night.I would like to learn about how daylight savings affects the different times. That's a good question - basically if a country is affected by daylight savings this pushes their time further from GMT, almost as if they were another time zone away. 18/3/10

We have two temperature measurements because the Americans havent changed from empirial to convert farenhieght to celcius you -32 x9 /5 C= F-32*5/9. Does it work the way you have it? You could investigate. 24/3/10

eg.5.6 - 2.84

eg:-5678+6789=1111
This strategy is very helpful and a easy to do I am pleased you find this strategy easy to use and helpful. It is always easier to learn a new concept in a context. TC 31/3/10
W.A.L.T. Add not subtract when working on decimal subtraction problems
eg:56.95-49.96=6.99
49.96+ =56.95
=6.99

I've been working on my survey and i'm finding it challenging but i wont stop working on it
I am wondering if you would be better to just have this as a file that you can open Callum. talk to Mrs Breeds or I about this on Monday. I agree with Ms Eddy Callum - try uploading the file to the wiki, same way you do the picture, and insert it, same way you do the picture. It puts a little 'X' icon (for Excel) so that someone can click to open the file and read it easier. Mrs Breeds. 27/5/10
Today we did are second otago maths test and once again I got 100% in it. Next time I will try to use my time more effictivly. The most challenging was no.5 An excellent result Callum....What did you find challenging about it Callum? I would really like to see you use this journal more effectively as an insight into your thoughts and what you are finding challenging and easy. Give these a bit more thought from now on!! 28/5/10
Today i did the media report 2 on water usage it shows that most water is used outdoors yet at the start it says most water used in bathroom and you have to find out whats right and wrong about its graph and then correct it 31/5/10
On friday I did an IKAN test. I need to practice my stage 8 fractions because I got 0 correct.
I need to improve my stage 8 basic facts because I only got half correct not all correct. It is important that these become instant facts for you. Was it the improper fractions that you had issues with?
